Old World Traditional European Breads and Bread Products - Du Jour

We make our own Buttercream and other Frostings used in or on on our products.

Breads are made using: King Arthur Artisan White, Whole Wheat, Rye, and/or  Organic Spelt (Dinkle) Flours. We use a sourdough sponge obtained from Emery and Irene Oldenburg from the German Settlement that was decades old when Ann obtained it back in the 60's. Breads are made with or without fruits and nuts as the style of bread dictates. Loaves are plain or topped with various seeds, salt, nuts or grains. These breads are reminiscent of those your Great - Grandparents and Grandparents may have eaten as a daily staple.  Call us at 839-2288 for details.

Homemade Handmade Kringles

Our Kringles are made with our own homemade traditional cooked kringle filling inside the pastry adding fruit or other fillings as the kringle flavor requires. Not all flavors available all days, but special orders are welcome year around. We have listed just a few of our flavors and rotate flavors at the markets.

Fruit Kringles: Door County Tart Cherry, Apricot, Strawberry-Rhubarb, Strawberry, Plum, Honeycrisp Apple, Apple Butter, Raspberry and other in-season fruits we have available.

Praline Base Kringles: These use a brown sugar kringle filling as a base with additional ingredients added based on the flavor.  Cinnamon-Walnut w/wo Raisins, Date.

Chocolate Base Kringles: These use our Semi-sweet chocolate kringle filling as a base with additional ingredients added based on the flavor. Semi-Sweet, Chocolate-Cheese, Chocolate-Almond Cheese, Chocolate-Almond Cheese with Coconut, Door County Chocolate-Cherry.

Cheese Kringles: These use our own homemade plain, almond cheese, or pastry crème filling in combination with any of the above flavors. Poppy seed -Crème (we make our own poppy seed filling also).


Handmade Danish Diamond and Pockets*

Our homemade Danish Pastries come in various fruit and cheese or cream fillings and combinations.

*Available in peak market season only.

Our In-Season Bakery items utilize our fresh fruits as available in crisps, cakes, coffee cakes, pies, breads, assorted seasonal pies and desserts, unique frozen desserts with or without alcohol (special order only), cookies and more- call ahead 920-839-2288 or check the markets to see what is new and different.


Following in the footsteps of my Grandmother of Austrian heritage who was a professional baker at some of Door County's original resorts, it seemed only natural to add baked goods as an alternative way to utilize creativity blending it with our farm products.

Did you know that Danish pastry as we know it today was actually perfected by the Austrians!

Fillings in our baked goods vary depending on the whim of the baker that day.

We strive to make our fillings in house, using only premium ingredients.

We always have a variety of flavor choices available, but get to market early or call ahead to prevent disappointment.   


In addition to our Kringles and Danish being available,

you may also find homemade cakes, fruit crisps, muffins, and dinner rolls and other local grown, and ethnic treats as time and product availability permit.
